Hey folks! Long time no blog!
After a month of R&R, it's clear to me that I'm not great at it. The first two weeks I wasn't sure how to sit still. By the third week I'd hacked a routine that was comfortable, though part of m was still restless. Week four was much the same as week three and week five has been a lot of looking forward. I've gotten to spend a lot of time with my friends and family. I've gotten lots of time to think (a dangerous pastime, I know.) I'm grateful for the time to rest and re-acclimate. That said, I'm ready to get back on the horse.
Tour life was exhausting. Part of that was being gone for several months at a time. Another part of that is just the way it works. I've learned so much in the last year and I can't wait to put it to use in the future. Speaking of the future- I'm moving back to Denver this week. And getting a band together (maybe a couple of 'em) within the next few months. I'm still writing. I'm still practicing. I'm still learning how to get better. How to be better.
Thank you- for your loving support and many kindnesses. I'm looking forward to the next chapter in my story knowing you'll be accompanying me through it.
Stay Choosy, folks.
